Have you checked out HP's support pages or contacted their tech support?

You can also try this method:  Configure CUPS http://localhost:631 and 
add new printer, when it comes to choosing the brand/model/driver 
upload the PPD file that comes with printer and see if it helps.

YMMV - I have never had to try this method since all my printers are 
supported under Linux.
