Hi,

Many usb devices has multiple modes like smartphone can be detected as
mass-storage, mtp device or tethering modem. Your device is detected
as cd-drive which is default for usb dongles. This mode has small
storage that helps to install Windows drivers. But for Linux, this
mode is of no use. You need to do mode switching. I did same on my
vodafone 3g dongle and now it always gets detected as modem. Command
to do so is 'usb_modeswitch'. But parameters to command are
device-specific. I do not have idea about this particular device.
Quick google search gave nothing useful.
