Out of curiosity I just checked.. Running slackware current, KDE 3.5.4, KMail, 
4 konqueror instances, 3 konsole instances with at least 3 tabs each and 2 
very heavy kate sessions, 30 files each + kopete + skype and 5-6 other kde 
applets. 192MB. No swap.. :)
