Can you please contact Red Hat support regarding this ? I think when you buy 
RHEL4, you get support from Red Hat. They will be in a much better position 
to answer the above question.

I don't think many people on the list have worked with RHEL. Check out 
http://www.alsa-project.org/  to see the support for various cards.
