You didnot get my point. Once you have an access to a windows system on the
network, you can easily connect to the linux system on the same network, by
using putty or winscp  from the windows system to which you have access. We
use this method when we need to access a linux system that does not have a
live IP, or if the company policy does not allow a direct access to their
server..
