Talking about patents and Indian contexts, here is some interesting reading :

"The master disc or electronic transmission Microsoft sends from the
United States is never installed on any of the foreign-made computers
in question," the justices said in a majority opinion penned by
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. "Instead, copies made abroad are used for
installation."

The talkback thread is even more interesting.

Interesting, blueprints can only be copyrighted, NOT patented.
    Only the actual physical product can be patented.

    This could be the death knell of software patents


What could be the implications in context to Indian laws?
