I've bought a new Dell Inspiron 1420 Laptop.

Config : -

-> intel c2d t550 @ 1.83GHz
-> nvidia geforce 8400M GS 128MB
-> wxga+ tft, 1440x900 res @ 70hz, 14.1"
-> 3gb ram, ddr2 @ 667mhz
-> 2mp webcam
-> intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG

other config options are standerd as found in most laptops

I opened the lid, inserted the Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron DVD,

installed the whole system,

and all the devices ( believe me all the devices )

were correctly working ( proprietory drivers had to be enabled manually
though, but no big deal ) !
