Would a Live DVD fit the purpose?

If you want to make customizations to create a live cd or adjust the
contents, you can do that in Fedora 8
# yum install livecd-tools
Look at the kickstart files in /usr/share/livecd-tools. You can create
live cd/dvd's or bootable USB images easily. Refer
