[PLUG] ubantu having problem and internet connection problem

hi all
i m using Fedora ,open suse ,and now i m trying for
ubantu .
following  problems

1) i m having dual core machine desktop with XP 64 bit ,Fedora 64 bit ,
and now i m trying to install ubantu and opensuse ,my pc work fine with open
suse .but ubantu is giving problem ,it is very slow and after some time it
get hang .
2)i m using hathway internet connection but i m not geting net with suse and
ubantu
is there any solution on this
please help me
