MS announces Office 2007 SP2 will add support for the ODF format.  

To give more credibility to the interoperability initiative, ODF support 
should also have been put in MS Office 2003 and possibly 2000.

Only time will tell how well they support the format i.e. will the files 
open seamlessly in OpenOffice w/o loosing any of the original 
formatting.
