That's because, you're using the files from the openSUSE repository. They 
remove all the plug-ins that are covered by software patents from packages 
like Xine, et all. You have to get the updates from the Packman repository. 

Note that, if you follow the following URL:
http://opensuse-community.org/Restricted_Formats/11.0

it'll automatically add the packman repository to YaST. Just follow the 
onscreen instructions carefully.
