[PLUG] Mythtv and EPG

Hi all,

The video signal quality has improved a lot in the recent years with DTH 
operators and cable TV set top boxes. However, most set top boxes are pretty 
basic.

I am hoping to connect my local cablewallahs set top box to a myth box with a 
TV tuner card via composite. One of the biggest hindrances is the availability 
of the electronic program guide (EPG). In the UK people can grab EPG using 
xmltv from the radiotimes website whereas in the US it is possible to do that 
via schedulesdirect website. Unfortunately, there is no provider for Indian TV 
which distributes EPG in xmltv format.  There is a startup called zipazap.com, 
but they dont distribute the EPG.
 
Running myth without an EPG doesnt have much of a point since the primary goal 
is to record TV when i am not in front of the TV. Is anybody aware of any EPG 
source for indian televison?
