How is the accountant and the elephant even related to the question asked ?

The question was about getting a free alternative to Tally. The number of
accountants using Tally has nothing to do with the answer. The answer would
typically be the name and download link to an appropriate Linux based free
software.
What you are trying to do is - suggesting a proprietary software to someone
who is looking for free software and then, trying to justify yourself when
asked why you are doing that on a mailing list dedicated to Linux and FOSS.

Exactly what part of his question presents those 'ramifications' ? Can you
then enlist, for us, a few clear, non-overlapping ones in plain English,
without any reference to elephants, dry borewells or other unrelated
analogies ?

Thanks in advance.

PS: Honestly, I've nothing against you. Rather, I'm now curious as to what
makes you post such stuff on this list :-?
