  National Workshop on Computer Algebra Systems(CAS) from Free and open
source software
(http://fossme.bprim.org) has
been announced,  under the project "Use of Open Source Software for Teaching
of Mathematics" supported by MHRD.

The   5 days workshop will be held during  27 - 31 January, 2011 on
CAS FOSS tools.

* Following Topics will be introduced/covered during the workshop*


Number Theory: Using SAGE / PARI-GP
Cryptography: Using SAGE
Graph Theory: Using Maxima / SAGE
Group Theory: Using GAP
Calculus: using SAGE

  Speakers:
    Kapil Paranjape, IISER, Mohali
    Sourav Sen Gupta, ISI, Kolkata
   Rajendra Pawale, Mumbai University
   Vikas Jadhav, Wadia College, Pune
   Manjusha Joshi, BP, Pune

Who can register for the workshop?

  *  College teachers/ registered research students
  *  Students (M.Sc. / Engineering/ Undergraduate from IISER/IIT/B.Math)
  *  Professionals ( a few seats)
