[PLUG] Suggestion or Ideas for including LINUX based event(competition) for a College EVENT

Hi,

One idea :- Have a competition based on regular expressions.
Show practical usage of sed or awk.

eg. Parsing of a log file to find specific errors, validating user
input(email address) or NLP(eg. identifying date/time constructs in
newspaper articles. To make it challenging, identifying such
constructs in an Indian language  - Hindi/Marathi. You give a sample
data set and then test on another data set.)
C programming contest can be in Linux.
