[PLUG] dd: reading `/dev/dvd': Input/output error while creating a Centos iso image

Hi

I had set a  vmware server and now trying to create a iso image so
that it could be reused when required , i use the dd command to do
this but i get the I/O error

[root at linux-dev Centos5.5]# dd if=/dev/dvd  of=/isos/CentOS-5.5.iso
dd: reading `/dev/dvd': Input/output error
7311592+0 records in

3743535104 bytes (3.7 GB) copied, 1932.06 seconds, 1.9 MB/s

Can some one please help on this thanks
