Who is this 'we'? Have 'you' ever filed a bug report to a free software
project? Have 'you' ever contributed to the documentation of a free
software project? Have 'you' ever submitted a feature request? Have
'you' ever contributed code to a free software project?  If you have,
well done; you have done your bit. Please continue doing it.
The only thing that any member of the community needs to do is try
his/her best to improve the software he/she uses. Free software give
him/her the freedom and tools to do that. That is all that free software
has ever promised really. The one thing proprietary software can never
do is give the user a satisfaction that comes from contributing. Those
inclined towards contributing to the greater good will adopt free
software. Others won't.
