[PLUG] Regulations on encrypted communications

This topic has come up occasionally in PLUG.

Just noticed this article:

Following line is interesting:

"Last year, the company narrowly escaped a ban in Saudi Arabia and the
United Arab Emirates. Neither side disclosed what RIM did to get itself
onside with UAE telecom regulations."

Similarly earlier news coverage used to indicate they have "satisfied" US
and UK Govt concerns as well. Again, not sure how.
