[PLUG] [OT] Unlocking satellitve TV set top box

I have a spare Kaon STB which has firmware provided by Dish TV.

After stopping subscription, the STB has got locked. (Don't know whether
they have right to do that as you have paid for the hardware. But that's a
different discussion altogether.)

Is it possible to install generic firmware on this STB so as to receive
free to air channels?

Anyone knows any shops that can do that?
