Ok, but main issue is exclusivity to Google. It will appear in terms of
some features and in turn some contents that would work exclusively on
Chrome.

Technically and from licensing point of view, not sure whether others can
adopt this pepper thingy from Google. If that is so, it doesn't remain
exclusive to Chrome and hopefully FF/others can adopt it.

Assuming that above is not possible i.e. if future flash is tied to
Chrome, at least on Linux, there is a reasonable apprehension that, it
will affect Linux and not just Mozilla.

We will have to only hope that, Google would have continued interest in
keeping flash alive and up-to-date on Linux. The track record has not been
so with many of Google products till now - it either lagged big time
behind Windows version or continued to be exclusive to Windows. We can
get into examples if you want.

Now, one might say they are doing the right thing by supporting more
widely used platform first. But that's where lies the worry. You are
solely at their mercy if no other OSS initiatives (firefox for instance)
are allowed to develop those features/functionality.

Mayuresh.
