Lightweight-ness of stuff depends on your requirements and what
exactly you want to do.
Based just on the categories below its difficult to say still here are some...

Graphics editing -- image magic tools, convert mogrify etc

Openoffice but still its going to be heavy

again look for a command line stuff

One better way to look at things is to use a lightweight window
manager instead of KDE or Gnome.
Try using window maker, xfce etc..
