[PLUG] Sound system

Hello All,

I am using a HP Pavilion dv6149us laptop.

It has the intel-hda sound card.

The sound card works fine. But I have a situation here. Hope somebody
can help me.

I want to listen to an external audio source through my laptop. I plug
in the sound device through the mike-in/ line-in jack. In windows, I
am able to here the audio without problem through the internal
speakers / headphones.

I am not able to acheive this through Kubuntu.

Any solutions? Leads? Ideas?
