[PLUG] workshop organisation for Garware college

Hi all,

We (PLUG) have got a request from Garware College to take a day long
workshop. Details are given below. Please contact Amit Karpe

Following are the contents of the mail sent by the college:

We want to arrange a workshop in Linux Training for Science Teachers of
 Abasaheb Garware College in the last week of Novenber 2010. (Preferably
 one day workshop on 29/11/2010)

 Details of Our requirenment are as follows:
 No of participants = approx 40

 Topics to be covered : Introduction to free software movement and its
 advantages, Linux as OS (Partitioning and installation NOT needed),
 Linux GUI, Applications in linux similar to MS Office, Free Scientific
 softwares available on linux with brief introduction, Using internet
 over linux

 You are requested to give us time required to cover these topics
 (number of sessions of 1.30- 2 hours duration)and remuneration of the
 resource persons.
