Hello AJ,
If you don't have fast internet at home, I suggest you to visit any
nearest internet cafe and download the Linux iso.
The easy steps would be =
Step 1) Download the Mint Linux iso at internet cafe
Step 2) Install 'Rufus' iso burner for Windows os [1.3 MB size]
Step 3) Connect your 8GB blank pen drive & burn the iso using 'Rufus'
IMP: Just to make sure that downloaded iso is NOT corrupted, perform a
checksum without fail before burning the iso in your pen drive. You
can verify checksum from the Windows command prompt.
I am suggesting a Windows based solution as internet cafe's don't
usually use Linux.
I haven't noticed any offline PLUG meetings.
If you spot any upcoming OFFLINE plug meeting, you can request for the
iso & I am sure somebody will bring the iso with them & will give it
to you for FREE of cost i.e. no procurement process. Just bring your
laptop.
Have lots of fun with the Linux operating system. Good luck!
Regards,
Amey.

Hence requesting you to assist me with a copy of Linux OS GUI which all of us can start working around. I live in dehu road Pune, is there any place near by Pimpri Chinchwad from where I can procure it? Let me know what are other options to get the cd.There is a big list available on Google and to name few - Mint would be one of them, but wanted t assistance from this team.
